Upcoming Produce - September 2014

With hopes that the worst of the summer is now behind us, we have been able to begin tilling and drawing up new rows for our fall crops. We have little for market, but lots on the way!

Corn

We grew some the heirloom field dent corn to offer in our fall market for decoration. We think it's gorgeous.

Asparagus Beans

We are really excited about growing these Asparagus beans. Each bean is picked when it is about the thickness of a pencil and is 12-18" long. Steam them, stir fry them or boil them with potatoes. They have a distinctly nutty flavor.

Tomatoes

Coming this Fall

KALEWe have a lot of kale just getting started in the garden,
